Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.
Qualifications: • Active state licensure. • Minimum 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Tele. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) FRIDAY - SUNDAY. Holidays Rotation. Float required - Will float to 2A overflow unit for MS Tele assignments and have up to 6 patients if needed. All travelers subject to float between all Cone Health facilities. Minimum 2 years experience required. FIRST TIME TRAVELERS - OK! BLS required. ACLS and NIH preferred. MS Tele and Tele exp required. Acutely ill medical- surgical and orthopedic patients. Patient Diagnoses: Acute/Chronic respiratory illness, Post-op general surgery, Post-op general GYN surgery, Post-op total knee and hip replacements, Orthopedics, Acute and chronic pain, Active GI bleeding, CHF/Pulmonary edema, Diabetes: Hyper and hypoglycemic conditions, Renal failure, Drug Overdose, Patients with a Clinical Institute Withdrawal (CIWA) score below 7, Suicidal, Arrhythmia, Radioactive therapy, Uncontrolled or new onset of seizures, Stable COVID patients. The following IV medication drips may be administered on department 300: Heparin, TNA.
Unit Details: • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics • Daily Census: 34 • Number of Beds: 41 • Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary • Patient Diagnoses: medical-surgical telemetry unit. Acutely ill medical- surgical and orthopedic patients. • Special Procedures/Unit Details: Acute/Chronic respiratory illness, Post-op general surgery, Post-op general GYN surgery, Post-op total knee and hip replacements, Orthopedics, Acute and chronic pain, Active GI bleeding, CHF/Pulmonary edema, Diabetes: Hyper and hypoglycemic conditions, Renal failure, Drug Overdose, Patients with a Clinical Institute Withdrawal (CIWA) score below 7, Suicidal, Arrhythmia, Radioactive therapy, Uncontrolled or new onset of seizures, Stable COVID patients. • The following IV medication drips may be administered on department 300: Heparin, TNA.
Requirements: • License in hand required with submission. • Local Radius: 50 miles. No Locals accepted. • EPIC experience REQUIRED. • All RNs, regardless of specialty, are required to pass an EKG exam during compliance. The candidate is allowed 2 attempts at a Pass/Fail requirement. Study material is not provided so please plan accordingly. • Modules: Modules are non-billable, average 2-4 hours. Modules are completed during orientation, not included in NBO. Module hours are unit based, hours will vary.
