Required Licensure: Current RN License (Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri.)
Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
Preferred Certifications:
Years of Experience: 1 year Stepdown
Float Requirements: as needed, to a similar or lower acuity unit

• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios: 1:3/4
• Equipment: TRACH, VENT, VAPO, BIPAP
• EMR: EPIC

Hiring Profile:
• Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Stepdown, inpatient only; This is a very respiratory heavy floor, must have Trach/Vent experience
• Preferred Skillset/Experience:
• Type of Patients on Unit: Respiratory failure, ETOH, Overdose, GI Bleed, Electrolyte Imbalance, COPD, Cancer
• Personality Fit: Teamwork, dependable, flexible

Auto Offer Guidelines:
• Flexible Guaranteed Hours - 36 or 48 hours - must be listed on submission form
• Blocked Scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements - must be listed on submission form
• RTO of 5 days or less, must make up the week on the back end
• Holiday RTO can request only 1 per assignment
• Auto Offers are contingent upon facility approval. Offer may be retracted within 48 hours by the facility.

Overview:
Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values and Mercy Service Standards.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patient post trauma, surgical interventions and medical comorbitities. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care.
