Registered Nurse - PACU occasional 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM variations — no weekends, no holidays, no call

Minimum 1 year of RN experience (perioperative/PACU experience preferred)
Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Experience with Phase I PACU and Phase II recovery, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and procedural/conscious sedation
Comfortable with EHR charting (Epic preferred) and accurate documentation
Ability to float to main PACU and work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care setting
First-time travel nurses welcome

Knowledge & Skills
• Perioperative nursing and PACU best practices
• Post-anesthesia patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Pain assessment and management, including use of opioid and non-opioid strategies
• Familiarity with general, local, MAC, and neuraxial anesthesia care and nerve blocks
• Medication administration, reconciliation, and reversal agent knowledge
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and basic lab values
• RASS scoring, malignant hyperthermia protocol, insulin and hypo/hyperglycemia protocols
• Isolation precautions/PPE and safe infection control practices
• Comfort with a range of surgical case types (ENT, general, gyn, ortho, ophthalmology, urology, vascular, plastics, podiatry)
