Shift: Nights 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Float required to other hospitals if needed. Medication System: Pyxis 1 year of EPIC experience is required. Patient Diagnoses: Orthopedics and bariatric experience, Tele unit. Required certificates: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and SC RN license. Requiring 2 years of experience in the MS/Tele field. Unit will review 1st time travelers but are requesting them to have at least 3 years of experience within specialty.
Prisma Health Floating Policy for Contracted Staff: Prisma Health’s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.

Additional Unit Information: • Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary • Patient Diagnoses: Orthopedics and bariatric experience, Tele unit. • Epic experience preferred.
Will consider nurses with 1+ years of recent experience in unit. Orientation is every Monday. Pre Assignment testing (all RNs) and modules required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving the login information (which usually comes within 24 hours of the nurse signing their contract). Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract. EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required.
