Roles & Responsibilities • Provide professional nursing care to pulmonary clinic patients following established standards and best practices • Assist providers during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments • Administer medications and monitor patients for effects and responses • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, and self-care plans • Use clinical judgment to assess patient status, prioritize needs, and escalate concerns appropriately • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes • Maintain accurate documentation, including relevant ICD-10 and CPT coding basics as applicable
Qualifications • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required and current • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • One year of nursing experience preferred • Comfortable administering a range of medications and using common exam and treatment equipment • Ability to communicate clearly, follow physician instructions, and stay calm in emergency situations • Able to travel to other offices when needed and handle patient lifting/assistance
Education • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Knowledge & Skills • Clinical nursing and assessment skills tailored to outpatient pulmonary care • Medication administration and monitoring • Patient education and communication • Examination and treatment procedures • Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines • Medical terminology and office procedures • Patient handling and safe lifting techniques
