General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: General Diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT; Block scheduling is not guaranteed; No Travel Pairs (regardless if one is on another unit). Ratio / Census: 1:2-3 (Traveler should be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient); 24 Rooms with average daily census of 19. Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR. Scrub Color: Navy Blue. RTO: MAX 7 days. Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere. Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed. Call Requirements: Not specified. Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Thanksgiving/Black Friday • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day • New Years Eve/New Years Day Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. CLINICAL SCREEN- Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Return travelers: If a traveler is deemed unable to return to one facility, please have them complete one successful assignment outside of Piedmont prior to rebooking at a new location. Modules: • Modules are non-billable, hours are factored in NBO • Modules are completed during orientation, and vary by specialty • Modules are recorded via transcripts Perm Staff Rule: MUST be away for 1 FULL YEAR from all Piedmont facilities to return as traveler. GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal. References: TWO supervisory references are HIGHLY preferred at time of submission, some units require two on the profile to review. Must be Manager or above - charge not accepted. HOLIDAY RTO POLICY: If one or two major holidays occur during assignment period, travelers are expected to be available to work the holiday(s), - NO HOLIDAY RTO CAN BE REQUESTED. If three major holidays occur during assignment period, the travelers are expected to be available to work two of the holidays. ONE HOLIDAY RTO Request can be reviewed for approval. *VERY IMPORTANT - Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start.
