General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: • General Diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT • Block scheduling is not guaranteed • No Travel Pairs (regardless if one is on another unit)
Ratio / Census: • 1:2-3 (Traveler should be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient) • 24 Rooms with average daily census of 19
Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue
RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Not specified
Holidays: • If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. • If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. • If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
