Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.

Patient Diagnoses: 3 South consists of 19 private rooms and serves a patient population with ages that range from the young adult through the geriatric patient. Priority admission is given to patients requiring medical surgical level of monitoring, interventions and care. The major types of patients include but are not limited to both medical and surgical patients and those with neurology or neurosurgical diagnoses. 3 South is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring.
