*Must be able to work holidays* Possibly of taking care of COVID patients. Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

JOB DETAILS: • Target Ratios: 1: • Shift: 12HR NIGHTS; 18::15*36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours. • Charge role is required for night travelers. • Call Requirement: Call required if put on call prescheduled shift. • Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding. • Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: • Adults and geriatrics. • General Med/Surg Patients. • Daily census ~43.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: • Insulin Drips • Heparin Drips • Wound Vac Drsg Changes • High Flow Oxygen • We occasionally have limited short term BiPap with respiratory support. No additional training needed. Appropriate for all med/surg nurses. No PCU level patients on this unit.

Additional Information: • NC or Compact license pending OK for submission. Required in hand at time of start. • Candidates may float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby - Please refer to the job description for floating details. It is common for travelers to float to other units based on their skill sets and based on census. Candidate must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests. • Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays. • No RTO allowed during the first week of a traveler's assignment due to orientation. • Fatigue Policy: Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week. • Modules: Modules are non-billable Acute Care roles: hours of modules Non-Acute roles: hours of modules Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, and hours vary by specialty Modules are recorded via online learning, and Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes.
