REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: Required 2 year of experience required in last 5 years Traveler Experience: Accepts 1st time travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: • Must be able to take heparin drips. • PCA. • Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management. • Blood product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy. • PICC line management, IV starts, • Active RN license required. • Management of dysrhythmias, O2 Protocol Management, Non-invasive airway management, Peripheral line care/management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Traumatic Brain injury, ortho trauma, surgucal drains, chest tubes- Emerson/Pleuravac, Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Tracheostomy Management, Wound care. • Epic documentation experience required. Certs: BLS
JOB DETAILS: Target Ratios: 1: (Must be comfortable with these ratios) Shift: 12HR NIGHTS*36 or 48 hours accepted. Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend **Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue. Traumatic brain injuries. Spine injuries, pain. Neurological trauma/nerve damage (small population). Subdural hematoma.
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
UNIT ORIENTATION: 12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.
