Registered Nurse - PCU/Stepdown (Telemetry)
Proven experience with arterial line management and titrating vasoactive drips. Comfortable with IV start, blood product administration, central/PICC line care. Ability to pass facility EKG testing prior to start and complete hospital orientation week. Willingness to work nights, every other weekend, and float to an ICCU as needed. Required flu vaccination (medical/religious exemptions allowed) and facility onboarding attendance.
Knowledge & Skills • Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/treatment skills • Competency with vasoactive drip titration and common cardiac drips (e.g., Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine) • Experience managing chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac) and tracheostomies • Proficient in Epic charting and Pyxis medication systems • Skilled in non-invasive airway management, BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula • Familiarity with IV insulin and heparin protocols and blood product administration • Effective participation on rapid response teams and emergency/code situations • Strong infection control and isolation precautions/PPE practices
