Unit Information: • Beds: 16 on PHO and 16 on PA • Average patients per day • Minimum Years of Experience required? • PHO: 1 year in Pediatric hem/oncology acute care • PA: 1 year in pediatric acute care • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with a strong pediatric background
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: • Leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, behavioral health overlay, general adolescent medicine
Skills required: • Central line management, chemo administration, strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking.
Support within the Department: • CNA: vital signs, ADL, safety rounding, I&Os • Receptionist/HUC • Charge nurse • Phlebotomy • IV/VAT Team - for difficult peripheral access • Resource Nurse: availability varies • RT, 24/7 • Hospitalist, 24/7 • Intensivist, 24/7 • Bedside telemetry monitoring, no Tele tech is available.

Floating: If yes, where? • Will work routinely between PA and PHO and other units in Brenner except Peds ED.
