Registered Nurse - Med Surg variable days of week with rotating day/night coverage; every other weekend required; night and day rotations as needed

Roles & Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on the medical-surgical unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor telemetry readings closely
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Document patient care and progress clearly in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
• Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate when needed

Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Previous medical-surgical nursing experience required (no exceptions)
• ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Availability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and every other weekend
• Flu vaccine required per State of Maine mandate

Knowledge & Skills
• Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking
• Proficient in medication administration and IV care
• Clear, concise documentation and charting in EHR systems
• Effective teamwork and communication with multidisciplinary staff
• Time management for busy 12-hour shift environments
