Registered Nurse – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse Location: Zanesville, OH Start Date: 04-20-2026 End Date: 07-20-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating day schedule (typically 3 shifts/week to total 36 hours), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every other weekend required (Day shift) Hours per Week: 36 Roles & Responsibilities • Deliver safe, high-quality cardiac and telemetry nursing care on the 4 South Cardiac unit • Continuously monitor and accurately interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to changes • Document patient care and clinical decisions in Epic EMR with precision and timeliness • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-centered care plans • Provide compassionate care while floating to Med-Surg specialty areas (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation) as needed • Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes • Maintain readiness for emergency situations and follow ACLS/BLS protocols during codes and rapid responses
Qualifications • Active RN license (state licensure requirements apply) • Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience (must be able to read telemetry — competency tested on day one) • Current BLS required • Current ACLS required • Demonstrated Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory (no refresher or 1:1 training options) • Comfort and experience working in cardiac/telemetry settings and floating to Med-Surg specialties
Knowledge & Skills • Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation • Cardiac nursing and stepdown care • Epic Electronic Medical Record proficiency for documentation and order entry • Med-Surg nursing fundamentals and specialty floats (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory) • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking • Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
