Our Client is currently seeking Respiratory Therapist for positions in Alton, Illinois for a 3x12 Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00, 12.00-3 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Certification in Illinois. This is a Respiratory Therapist position in the SAHC - Respiratory type:Respiratory Therapy.

Unit Notes: OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: • OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: • Requested time off • Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
Department: RT • # treatments per day: 12-24 • Certs (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP?) RRT or is CRT acceptable?: BLS, IL license, NBRT certified. • Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?): Adults, rare peds in ER prior to transferring out • What areas do they cover (Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Rehab, Sleep Lab, etc.): Inpatient, ER, & day shift (Outpatient PFT lab) • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Standard RT skills • Job Duties (ie: Do RTs draw ABGs, perform EKGs, etc.): General RT duties. Do draw ABGs; but do not perform EKGs. • Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist?: No, assist only • Is there a Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist on each shift?: Lead supervisor on 8a-5p & then available for calls. Takes patient assignment when on shift. • Shifts & Scheduling, *Would they ever be the only RT in-house?*: 12Hr shifts, 6a-630p, 6p-630a. Self-scheduling & block scheduling allowed. Can be day/night rotating based on needs; but we have been consistent with sticking with days or nights. • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend, Sat/Sun • Holiday Requirements: Not required; but if there is a need, will work closely with traveler to determine if they can assist. • Call or standby call requirement?: Not required; but pending census fluctuation & acuity, will work closely with traveler & pending their location from entity if they can offer any on-call assistance. • What is call response time?: 1 hour • Floating Requirements: RT is in charge of treatments all in-house • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Kelly green, not provided - with travelers, okay to wear any color as long as look professional • RT Equipment: Vents - Esprit, PB980, & Avea (avg 2/shift), Cpap, Bipap, high flow • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist & ER physician 24/7 • Department Specific Orientation: 2 shifts
