Roles & Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive respiratory and cardiopulmonary care to patients across the lifespan during night shifts • Perform pulmonary function testing, stress testing, and EEG testing with accuracy and attention to detail • Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment while monitoring patient response and safety • Lead neonatal resuscitation and assist with high-risk deliveries when needed, applying NRP protocols • Respond rapidly to emergencies using BLS/ACLS/PALS skills and escalate care appropriately • Document assessments, treatments, and test results thoroughly in the electronic medical record • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to create and execute patient-centered care plans • Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, home therapies, and follow-up care
Qualifications • Unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Respiratory Therapy experience with a diverse patient mix • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire) • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider certification • Experience performing Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing, and EEG testing • Preferred: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), EPIC experience, and bilingual Spanish skills
Knowledge & Skills • Pulmonary function testing and interpretation • Stress testing and EEG testing procedures • Neonatal resuscitation and care for high-risk deliveries • Ventilator management and advanced airway support • Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP) • Electronic medical record documentation (EPIC preferred) • Effective patient and family education and communication • Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
