Respiratory Therapist - Adult Critical Care weekends required; floating between campuses may be required. Hours per CRT considered. Current BLS required and ACLS preferred. Minimum 2 years of relevant respiratory care experience (adult critical care or ED experience strong plus). Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and floating between campuses. Flu vaccine required per facility policy (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required per facility guideline. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a large academic medical center setting.
Education • High School Diploma required • College diploma and/or transcripts required • RRT credential preferred
Knowledge & Skills • Ventilator management including GE ventilators and familiarity with Hamilton ventilators preferred • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, CPAP management • Airway management and tracheostomy care/management • Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) and weaning from mechanical ventilation • Troubleshooting high pressure alarms and other ventilator issues • Medication administration for respiratory therapies and experience with nebulizers and MDIs • Pulmonary hygiene, sputum collection, and emergency airway interventions • Experience in adult critical care and emergency department airway management
