Summary of Required Skills:
• Must be proficient in Adult Critical Care Work settings, Extubation, Nasal airway placements, suctioning, oral airway placement, oral suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, tracheostomy care.
• Must be experienced with administering albuterol, Atrovent, combivent, flovent, inhaled steroids, ispurel, lidocaine, perforomist, pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, spiriva, terbutaline sulfate, tobramycin, xopenex.
• Must be experienced in delivering medication through aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dos inhaler.
• Must have experience with Hand held, T-piece and Trach collar nebulizers.
• Must have experience with high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy.
• Must have experience with BiPaP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
Experience Required: Must have Trauma Level 1 experience
Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.
Charting: 1 yr of EPIC experience required

Travel Compliance Extensions: Effective 2/1/26 (Nursing only, excluding CVOR) Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract. Travelers will need to begin the process of converting to an employee status after working their third consecutive 13-week contract or after 39 weeks. If the traveler does not wish to convert to a team member status, they will be required to take a minimum six-month separation before they are eligible to return as a traveler for the organization.
Travelers must be 100 miles from every Prisma facility (regardless of where they are applying) to be eligible to travel in the system, unless they are one of the two exceptions below
• 90-99.9 miles are accepted at a 10% bill rate reduction
• 100+ miles full bill rate
Exception 1: Night shift travelers for below specialties must be 50+ miles ONLY from the contracted campus they re applying to. Full BR granted at 100+ miles away. 50.0-99.9 miles is 10% bill rate reduction. Under 50 miles is ineligible.

Pre Assignment testing (all RN s) and modules required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving the login information (which usually comes within 24 hours of the nurse signing their contract). Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract.
EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
Floating: Prisma Health s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
