Neuro and cardiac high acuity patients. No Intermediate floor so many acute care patients need more care than a typical floor patient.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES/UNIT DETAILS
Cardiac ICU is very busy with multiple open heart surgeries every day. Acuity and assignments can change throughout the shift. ECMO and Lvad also done on the unit as well as frequent bronchoscopies and perc trachs. Fast moving critical care environment. RT's do all ABG's and breathing treatments.
