Roles & Responsibilities • Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile technique during surgical procedures • Assist in preparation of surgical patients for both elective and emergency cases • Support surgeons across specialties including orthopedics, vascular and neuro • Manage patient transportation and supervision to and from the operating room • Assist with setup and operation of robotics equipment as appropriate • Participate in emergency procedure assistance and rapid response in the OR • Maintain current education and competency in operating room practices and patient care
Qualifications • Minimum 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience (Operating Room) • Proficient in Orthopedic procedures: total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes/replacements • Vascular surgery proficiency required • Neuro surgery proficiency required • Must have completed 2+ travel assignments • Must have completed a successful assignment with your agency • Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) certification - required • Provide Skills Checklist (current within 1 year) and 2 supervisory references with dates employed
Education • Active BLS (AHA) - required
Knowledge & Skills • Operating Room workflow and scrub duties • Orthopedic instrument sets and procedures • Vascular and neurosurgical instrumentation and assistance • Robotic-assisted surgery experience • Cerner electronic medical record familiarity • Strong aseptic technique, patient handling, and intraoperative communication
