Our Client is currently seeking Mammography Technologist for positions in Meridian, Idaho for a 5x8 Days, 09:00:00-17:00:00, 8.00-5 shift. The ideal candidate will possess a current Certification in Idaho. This is a Mammography Technologist position in the Breastcare Services BCS Meadowlake type:Mammography. Unit Notes: Department: Radiology - Mammography General Certification Requirements: BLS Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT and Mammography certification How many scanners/rooms does this department have? • Screening: Boise, Eagle, and Nampa 1 scanner with 2 techs working on it. Meridian has 2 scanners with 4 techs working • Diagnostic: Boise 2 machines- they do run a triple on these 2 machines so staff rotate through 2 machines with 3 schedules. Nampa and Meridian each have 1 machine Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Will either do screening or diagnostic, will not float between the two. Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties • Screening: Standard screening- implant patients, patients with special needs-w/c, walkers, 4D mammograms • Diagnostic: Breasts scans and possibly procedures Experience or 'Must have' skills • Must have 3-4 years of experience in mammography • Must have done at least 1-2 contracts Average # of scans/studies per day • Diagnostic: on average 14 per day. Scans are every 30 minutes regardless if unilateral or bilateral • Screening- 18-21 in an 8 hour or 21-25 in a 10 hour shift- do provide additional time for implants, new patients (20 minutes) EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use • EMR: EPIC • PACS: Change Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) • Screening: Hologic • Diagnostic: Hologic and for procedures have a Hologic prone biopsy table with Bravera biopsy device Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift? lead available but may not be onsite Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no Radiologist in-house? Screens are batch read- do images review and read and reported out later Do they have to start IVs? (if applicable to the department) no Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
